Message From the Director
Dear Families,
Last week I wrote about a milestone that is happening in my family, but did you know we have several of our White Rock Montessori Families that will be experiencing their own milestone? Our 8th Years are currently in their 5th and final cycle of the school year. It is hard to believe that they will be celebrating their 8th Year Milestone Ceremony on Thursday, May 23. This celebration will be held at Owenwood Farm and Neighborhood Space where the 8th Year students will deliver their thoughts and reflections of their time here at White Rock Montessori and their hopes and dreams for their futures. We will conclude the evening back here at WRM where the students will place their Graduate Stones, mix and mingle with friends and guests, and celebrate their achievements.
Our students are matriculating to the following High Schools:
Bishop Lynch High School (3 students)
Alcuin School
The School for the Gifted and Talented at Townview (2 students)
Booker T. Washington High School (4 students)
Pioneer Technology and Arts Academy
We are proud of each of these stduents for completing the rigorous entrance requirements, exams, and achieving placement in the schools of their choice.
Remember Monday is Earth Day and Trashless Lunch Day (see below for more details)! We will be comparing our trash output from lunch on Friday, April 19 to our "trashless" day output on Monday, April 22. We can have zero waste! Be mindful when packing lunch on Monday!
We need your help! For our Earth Day recycling project, Ms. Holly needs recycled water bottles and plastic bottle tops! Please collect them and send them April 22-26th. Thank you!

Please mark Monday, May 13 at 8:45 on your calendar for our next and last Coffee with Brenda. Parents have asked to learn more about the Montessori Planes of Development and I shared that I have a wonderful activity to help parents understand child development characteristics at each level. Come join us for this last coffee of the year. I hope to see you there!
