Dear WRM community~

Starting tomorrow, the City of Dallas will begin repairs on Oates Dr. between Peavy Rd. and Buckner Blvd. Sections of Oates Drive will be intermittently closed down to one-lane traffic (eastbound only) during the course of this process.

A section of WRM’s exit driveway will also be affected and will need to be closed right after morning car this Friday, April 7th. The City of Dallas has informed us that they expect the portion involving our exit gate will be completed by Monday which will hopefully limit the impact on arrivals and dismissals. We also recognize that the timeline given to us may not actually happen so we are preparing for potential impacts on different days and times.

For this Friday’s afternoon car line, please note the following changes to our typical procedures:

• Toddler/Primary/Elementary-aged siblings of Primary students/after school activity participants
• Pick up at main entrance
• Traffic flow in driveway will become two-way
• Green arrows represent entrance flow
• Stars represent pick up points
• Red arrows represent exit flow
  



• Lower Elementary/Upper Elementary/Middle School
• Pick up at the corner of Tamarack and Beechmont 
• Enter Tamarack from Peavy Rd
• Green arrows represent entrance flow
• Stars represent pick up points
• Exit from Beechmont onto Oates Dr
• Red arrows represent exit flow

Please alert any drivers who support you in dropping off/picking up your students of this change. We will provide maps during car line on Thursday to support this process.

If picking up from aftercare, please follow the two-way driveway plan outlined above for primary students. You will be able to park and come in to sign out your child as usual. 

Anyone who would prefer to park on Heatherwood and walk across Oates Dr. to pick up their student may do so. Please use the ADA accessible gate to access the path that leads to the main entrance (walking past the MS building). You may come to the blue bench and we will connect you with your child there.
